Being active and staying healthy

You probably already know that exercise and physical activity are good for you. If you’re physically active, then you're already enjoying the benefits. If not, then it's never too late to start.

It's important to know that your body will not enjoy the long-term benefits of physical activity from a single session. It must be a regular part of your daily or weekly routine.

And just like physical activity, healthy eating should be a regular part of your routine. It's all about getting the right amount of calories—that is, not too much and not too little—from the right nutrients that contain the essential vitamins and minerals.

Staying healthy is about routine. Regular sleep and doctor visits are all part of the overall path to wellness. Are you on the right track?  Or do you need to take better care of yourself?

Another way to get your head around wellness is through meditation. It's simple and can be done anywhere and at any time. Plus, it's inexpensive and doesn't require any special equipment. It can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional wellbeing and your overall health.

Having a sense of adventure and the energy to go exploring has its benefits. So with more time (and perhaps more disposable income), this may be the ideal time for you to get out there and explore the world. The cost of travel is lower than ever before; get out there and see it!
