Sweet and sour red cabbage

Serves 6


6 cups shredded red cabbage  
1/2 cup grated apples 
3/4 cup water  
1/2 teaspoon low sodium salt  
1 tablespoon flour 
4 tablespoons vinegar  
1 1/2 tablespoons Splenda  
1 tablespoon olive oil


In a large pan or soup kettle, combine the cabbage, apple, water and salt. 

Cook on a low heat for 15 minutes. 

In a small bowl, mix the flour and vinegar until smooth. 

Add the flour and vinegar mixture, Splenda and oil to the cabbage. 

Cook for a further 15 minutes.
